Art Education
M Y M I S S I O N
I help creative kids gain essential skills in drawing and painting for their
self expression. I believe every child has a natural talent for art. My job is
to bring it up through technical skills developed in an easy and fun way.
M Y A P P R O A C H
I am an active artist, which means I constantly paint, exhibit and sell my art.
This independent and very happy lifestyle is a part of my teaching strategy. I never free a chance to inspire kids and push them to believe in their unique talent and bright future.
Beginners
We start with watercolor on paper and drawing with graphite pencil. I focus on showing kids how paint works depending on the amount of water in it, creating layers, shadows, volume, and shades of new colors. Then, we move on to canvases and acrylic paint. Proportion, color, and shapes are 3 basics we pursuit in first year. From kids aged under 10, we should not be expecting any realistic results, but the development of their own artistic expression, understanding of color balance and harmony, 3d forms and perspective, drawing structure and proper use of brushes. I focus my students on enjoying the process and leaving behind any worries about final results or judgment. Art is about being happy. We slow down here with soft classical music and relax.
