The piece highlights my Mother's Day art exhibition, which honors the incredible bravery of my son, Yan Dalí. As part of this tribute, I debuted Multitude—a deeply personal and expansive body of work in which I explore “the intricate tapestry of the collective human soul.” Through this collection, I aim to express the strength we find in unity, the resilience that emerges through shared emotion, and the beauty of human connection. It was an incredible honor to sit down with Barbie Sanchez for an interview that felt deeply personal and significant, particularly as it took place amidst my Mother's Day art exhibition. Connecting with such a beautiful and spiritually rich person was a joy, especially since our conversation unfolded entirely in Spanish. As someone who lived my entire adult life in Mexico and considers it my heart home, Spanish is not just my primary language but the language of my people and my family. Being able to share the essence of my work, and the deeply personal inspirations behind this exhibition, in this beautiful language that I speak fluently, felt like coming home. It brought me immense happiness to communicate the depth of my art and my personal journey in a way that truly resonates with my heritage and my audience.
